The clients purchased the Beach House as their retirement home to have a home they could age in place and host friends and family. A new wing was added to the existing home to achieve the design goal of adding a new Primary Suite, increasing the number of bedrooms, and improving the overall functionality of the home. Blending the new wing with the existing house while maintaining the neighborhood character presented a unique challenge. Traditional gables keep the design feeling southern and modern.
